NIPRO PHARMA HIDA FACTORY CORPORATION is located in Hida City at the northern end of Gifu Prefecture, bordering on Toyama Prefecture in the north and on Takayama City on the south. The center of Hida City is about 15 km north of that of Takayama City.
Surrounded by the Northern Alps and Hida Mountains over 3,000 meters in height, it is an area blessed with nature, with an average annual temperature of 11 degrees and impressive changes of the four seasons.
In particular, Furukawa-cho is easily accessed from Takayama, Shirakawago and Okuhida Onsenkyo. It is the perfect place to stroll through ancient town streets, visit "Hida Furukawa Matsuri Kaikan (Furukawa Festival Exhibition Hall)," which exhibits "Okoshi-daiko (drum to start the festival)" and luxury floats made by Hida craftsmen, savor Hida beef and local food and visit breweries.

We were recognized for our activity in reducing the environmental load and registered as an eco-friendly company (e-factory)* in November 2000.

Acceptance of social tours
We invite local elementary/high school students to visit us as part of community activities.
After seeing an animated film that explains plainly the "drug" manufacturing processes in a clean environment and the procedure for changing work-room clothes, the students are guided around the factory.
Packaging machines operate precisely and quickly, and a multi-level storage warehouse is spacious. The students express words of surprise and are excited to say what they feel about the factory. Our activity is well known to the community and it is a good opportunity to have people understand that we are a "community-based company."
